How / where do I edit my DNS Zone File in HSPcomplete / Plesk?
Posted by - NA - on 26 December 2006 10:19 PM

There are two places that DNS Zone file changes need to be made within HSPcomplete / Plesk.

HSPcomplete takes its DNS Zone file information (as used by ns1 & ns2.viux.com) from Plesk; therefore you can make changes to your Plesk DNS Zone file from within your control panel @ https://hsp.viux.com/cp/.

To do so, upon login select the [System] tab, followed by your domain name (at the bottom of the page), followed by the [DNS] icon. You can make any desired Plesk DNS Zone file changes on the resulting page; and these changes should propagate over to HSPcomplete (to be seen by the ns1 & ns2.viux.com name servers) within 3 to 24 hours (in most cases).

However to avoid this delay, and to make sure that the (ns1 & ns2.viux.com) name servers show the Plesk DNS Zone file change(s) correctly and ASAP, you should also update the HSPcomplete DNS Zone file directly @ https://hsp.viux.com/cp/.

To do so, upon login select the [System] tab, followed by the [Domains] link within the [Domain Management] section in the left side menu, followed by your domain name, followed by the [DNS Zone] tab. On the resulting page, you can once again make the desired HSPcomplete DNS Zone file changes as indicated above for the Plesk DNS Zone file (above).
