FortiClient SSLVPN Client
Posted by J.T. Smith on 17 June 2013 05:47 PM

Attached, please find the install files (Windows & Mac) for the FortiClient SSLVPN Client.

To better secure physical and virtual servers on the ViUX™ Network, we block access to the default RDP (3389) and SSH (22) ports. Therefore if you wish to access your server(s) on our network via RDP or SSH, you must first undertake the following actions...

---------- RDP / SSH Connection Steps ----------

1. Download and install the attached FortiClient SSLVPN Client onto your local system (links below).

2. Open a ticket with support@viux.com asking to have a Secure VPN user created (e-mail address as username).

3. Configure the FortiClient SSLVPN Client to connect to hostname: "vpn.viux.com" (without the quotes) - using the Secure VPN username and password that was created for you. For full step-by-step directions, please see: How do I make an RDP or SSH connection to my ViUX Cloud Server?

4. Once connected via the FortiClient SSLVPN Client, your local system is now on the ViUX™ Network (remotely) and you are thereby able to make a connection to your server(s) via the default RDP (3389) and SSH (22) ports.

----------

For alternate connection details (without need for VPN setup and connection), please see: How do I make an RDP connection to my VPS / Cloud Server without need for a Secure VPN connection?
