How to manually add Whois Privacy / ID Protect to an existing Domain Registration in PBAS
Posted by on 29 March 2012 10:38 AM

As of version 4.1.6-09 (06-Feb-2012) PBAS does NOT have a means of allowing Whois Privacy / ID Protect to be added to an existing Domain Registration. Currently you are only able to add these during the initial registration within the /pcc or /rcc interface at: Top > Service Director > Domain Manager > Domains > New Domain; or when purchasing a Domain Registration in the PBAS Online Store.

To add Whois Privacy / ID Protect to an existing (already registered domain) you must make manual changes (as detailed below) directly within the PBAS MySQL Database.

Database: aspc

Tables / Cells:

dm_regdomain.id_protect = <0 = off / 1 = on>

subscr_domain.is_id_protect = <0 = off / 1 = on>

subscr_domain.id_protect_fee = <ID Protect fee for current renewal period>

Within the above tables, change the values from null or 0 to 1, and set whatever is your fee for Whois Privacy / ID Protect, and save the changes. You must then create a Debit Memo and manually charge the customer for this fee for the current term, and the system will automatically charge the customer for future renewals of the same.
