How does ViUX handle subscription renewals?
Posted by J.T. Smith on 30 October 2012 01:14 AM

All ViUX™ services are set to auto-renew by default. Therefore if your subscription is set to auto-renew (you can change this setting), and if you have a credit card on file that is set to allow auto-payments (you can control this as well), our system will attempt to renew your services from 7 to 21 days prior to the actual end / renewal date of the subscription. The number of days in advance our system will attempt to renew your subscription is based upon your selected subscription term length (see the article "Subscription Renewal Terms and Automated Billing" for a chart showing each renewal period and more information in this regard).

The reason our system attempts to renew subscriptions in advance of the actual end / renewal date is to insure uninterrupted service and to provide time for those that wish to send in payment via check / money order or PayPal. Also, services such as Domain Registrations and SSL Certificates are highly recommended to be renewed well in advance (maybe even as much as 90 days); to make sure that a valuable domain name is not lost; or that downtime does not result from a secure section or function of your website going offline because an SSL Certificate has expired.

It is also VERY important to make sure that you always maintain a valid credit card and contact e-mail address on file for your account; to allow auto-renewals to take place; and to make sure that you receive renewal / billing and other account notices.
