SmarterTools Leased License Expiration Dates

ViUX offers SmarterTools monthly leased licenses for: SmarterMail, SmarterStats, and SmarterTickets. When purchasing SmarterTools leased licenses from ViUX, your license(s) will remain active as long as you maintain valid payment information on file with us for automated payment / renewal; or you make sure to submit manual payment PRIOR to the renewal date for each monthly invoice. Your renewal date will be 30 days from the original date of license lease, each month.
However, viewing your leased license information in the application interface (i.e. SmarterMail admin); the listed license expiration date will NOT match that of your actual renewal date for billing purposes. This is because the SmarterTools leased license system sets random expiration dates for each license that can be as short as 3 days or as long as 15 days. When the random expiration date is reached, the application will communicate with SmaterTools leased license servers to confirm the validity of the license and extend the expiration date by another random term.
There are many reasons for this; however one such reason is to prevent someone from being able to use a stolen credit card to obtain a leased license and thereby get a full month (or more) of free service. This being the case, you need not be concerned about the listed expiration date of your SmarterTools leased license, as long as you make sure to keep your license in good paid standing. In that case, it will auto-renew at the end of each month, and the random expiration date will continue to be reset. Failure to make timely payment for your leased license would result it in reverting back to a FREE version of the application, with reduced features and resources.
